Planning Scheme online

The Department of Sustainability and Environment provides Statewide access to Planning Schemes. The planning scheme online allows agents to undertake a property search to find out what zone a property is in and whether it is affected by an overlay. This site also provides information on provisions ie. Native Vegetation Provision and allows the user to source information on landuse guidelines and permit requirements.

To find relevant zoning, overlay and provision for a property follow steps below:

1)    www.dse.vic.gov.au/planningschemes

2)    Click on appropriate shire on Rural map or Select from dropdown box Select Rural

3)    Click on highlighted shire to view shire map and Zones & Overlay Legend  screen.

4)    Identify area of interest from shire map (figure 2). To locate a property and zone, click on relevant number ie. 13 and navigate to appropriate area (figure 3)

To find if a property is affected by an overlay click on number with letters ie. 13VPO Vegetation Protection Overlay and navigate to property location (figure 4).
