Weeds and Pest animals
New landholders may not be aware of pest plant and animals on their properties, and may not fully appreciate the efforts required to bring these problems under control. The Real Estate agent can play a key role by putting new landholders in contact with local sources of expertise.

Constraints
- Regionally Controlled Weeds and Regionally Prohibited Weeds require landholders to take all reasonable steps to control and prevent the spread of on their land. Property owners who do not eradicate these weeds can be issued with a Land Management Notice that requires specific control work to be undertaken.
- Declared Pest Animals (Rabbits, Foxes, Wild Dogs, Goats & Pigs) are the responsibility of landholders to prevent the spread of and as far as possible eradication of on their property.
